The high-ISO noise performance of the A7 II is pretty bad for its sensor size and year of introduction (2015). It is, for example no better than the Olympus E-M1 Mk. II/III, which has a much smaller sensor, and considerably worse than the Canon 6D and Nikon D610, which are older.

The A7II is better for lanscapes because AF and speed of use isn't important, and it provides sharper images (of course lens dependent) at base ISO. Both cameras feature in-body image stabilisation (5-axis). The A7 III has a rating of 5 stops of compensation, whereas the A7 IV has 5.5 stops (CIPA). On paper, this looks like a minor improvement. In reality, the new camera has an advantage when taking pictures hand-held between 1/4s and 1/15s.
